NFL Picks -- Week 2

NFL Week 2 winners

NY Giants (+4)

The Rams are not as bad as they looked last week against the eagles, but they are weak at LB and in the defensive backfield. Offensively, the Rams can play if their line stays healthy. The Giants have to put some points on the board, but look for their D to come up strong.

NO Saints (+12)

I'm a Drew Brees fan, and I think last year's stumble was a hiccup. They are deep at every offensive position, and despite losing some key players to injury this week, I think the Saints will easily handle a badly outcoached Redskin team.

CHI Bears (+8)

If Week one was an indication, the Bears Defense is going to be the class of the league. QB Orton is a big improvement over Grpsssman. You're going to see some low-scoring games, but they should have plenty enough to beat an upstart Panthers team.

TEN Titans (+7)

Call this the Who Cares Bowl. Cincinnati is a troubled team, and it's only week two. QB Kerry Collins can smartly pick apart a pourous Bengal D.

IND Colts (+6)

Week 1 was a fluke. Look for workaholic QB Peyton Manning to come out fired up, and the Colts have more than enough weapons to beat the Vikings. The wild card for the Vikes is the Colts' ability to stop Adrian Peterson on the fast Metrodome track.

KC Chiefs (+14)

Oakland's bickering coaching staff has to be a distraction, and KC's weapons include Larry Johnson and Tony Gonzalez on offense. Even with backup QB Huard, KC at home is going to outclass Oakland.

BUF Bills (+1)

Jacksonvill is beat up physically, but they're going to be physical. Buffalo can hang tough. QB Trent Edwards can put his stamp on the beginning of a new era by beating the Jags, and he's got the weapons to do it.

GB (+9)

Rodger still an unknown quantity, still too much for the Lions.

SEA (+3) Hasselback and company much overcome injuries, but look for a stout Defensive stand to make it a win against SF.

ATL (+6) I like the poise of young QB Matt Ryan, and QB indecision in Tampa Bay will be its downfall.

ARI (+11) Dolphins QB Pennington doesn't have the gun to match QB Warner and his wide-outs. Look for Edgerrin James to carry the Cards to a big win.

DEN (+7) – Upset special, if you can call it that. RB Tomlinson is questionable, and I think Norv Turner's brood is gonna take a sock in the jaw a mile high. QB Cutler is getting high marks from everyone who has seen him play this year, and he may be breaking out.

NE (+11) Is Matt Cassel ready for the big time. Doesn't matter much, as he's got 21 other guys on the field who can make plays. Jets have Favre and little else, as far as I see. Pats by a comfortable margin.

PIT (+14) – At the Dawg Pound, but if Cleveland is as pourous on D as last week, the Steelers will pour it on.

DAL (+2) Dallas looks tough, but the Eagles will give thema good test.
